The Race That Changed the Start Line

The 2026 TKO eMoto program is a genuine watershed. Two classes — eMoto Sportsman and eMoto Pro — run as official AMA National Hard Enduro championship classes. But the headline change is the mixing rule: electric and gas motorcycles will be intermixed based on qualifying results. Ride faster in the Hot Lap, start farther forward. The stakes are real: eMoto Sportsman riders who finish in the top 10 advance to race the Pro course on Sunday, and the Pro field battles for a $12,000 purse. There's even a new kids program with Peewee and Junior classes — because the next generation of eMoto racers is already on bikes smaller than yours. Eligibility rules for eMoto machines: 21-inch front wheel, 18-inch rear, and at least a 53-inch wheelbase.
